Debutant director Mallidi Vasishta’s film Bimbisara, starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ramis a fantasy action drama. It is one of the Telugu film industry’s most successful productions in 2022. On August 5, 2022, the movie premiered in theaters. The film was bankrolled by N.T.R. Arts and it won over viewers, resulting in a strong box office performance. This also becomes Mallidi Vasisht’s first huge achievement in Tollywood. Based on recent news reports, the film also set a record for Kalyan Ram’s career’s greatest box office success.
M.M. Keeravani composed the music for the $40 million budget film that mostly shot its scenes at Ramakrishna Studios in Hyderabad. According to a news source, the movie makers revealed that the second installment of the periodic drama is expected to hit theaters in August 2023. The mystical action drama is all set for a global release on ZEE5 on October 21, starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Samyuktha Menon, and Catherine Tresa in pivotal roles.
The film also features Prakash Raj, Srinivasa Reddy, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji among others. Bimbisara will be available to stream in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on ZEE5 Global.

Plot
The movie transports you back in time to the 5th century BCE. It highlights the life of the king of the Trigartala Empire. Since he was cruel and power-hungry by nature he used extreme measures to suppress dissent in his realm. An unexpected time travel into the modern era forces him to reconsider his decisions and mindset. He goes through significant transformations and becomes a compassionate and selfless man.
